Dear Colleagues

I am sure that all of you must be eagerly
waiting for final Announcement of “Cuticon Gujarat 2006”. At the outset let me
clarify that we have been subject to heavy loss due to recent flood in Surat.
Surat has witnessed one of the worst natural calamities in last 5 decades -
“Recent Flood”. You will fully agree with us that it is very difficult to work
with such situation. Still we are firmly determined to host this “32nd annual
State Conference of IADV&L of Gujarat State Branch”. I am sure all of you
will join us for this Conference and will strengthen our morals.
I am very
grateful to all colleagues those who had shown deep concern for our safety
during and after flood.

We the members
of South Gujarat Dermatologists’ Association proudly announce that 32nd Annual
state conference of IADV&L, Gujarat State Branch will be held on 16th and
17th December 2006 at one of most exotic venue of South Gujarat - Hotel Gateway
at Athwalines (A Taj Group Business Hotel) which is the only Five Star Hotel of
South Gujarat & it is located on the bank of River Tapti.

During the last decade field of Dermatology has
seen many new changes. Field of Dermatology is now one of the most advanced
branches of medicine world over. In India & Gujarat also dermatology has
grown to new heights recently. Information & Technology, Lasers & their
uses in Dermatology, newer therapeutic agents & many more things have
changed the face of DERMATOLOGY in last few years. Ever expanding cosmetic and
therapeutic techniques with continuous desire of looking beautiful of people
have served the dermatology new fuel. As a specialty we are in continuous need
for updating our knowledge & skill in different fields of Dermatology.
Dermatology practically now covers Skin Diseases, Cosmetology, Sexually
transmitted Diseases, HIV-AIDS, Lasers & laser assisted Cosmetic Surgeries,
Immunology and many more. So we are now in continuous need of updating
ourselves. Workshops, Seminars & Conferences are the main stay of gathering
latest knowledge & learning different scientific approach to different
fields of Dermatology.
To learn from learned speakers & to express our
views & share our knowledge with each other we have planned this year’s
scientific program.
We will be having two days scientific meet with many
eminent national speakers and an international speaker. We promise you that this
scientific program will give you ample opportunities to update our scientific
knowledge with practical approach. Apart from Guest lectures we will have Award
Papers, Free papers, Poster presentation & many other scientific
interactions.
Apart from Scientific program we have planned for Gala food
event & Banquet on 16th December 2006 at the river side lawn of Gateway
hotel. Due to recent flood there will not be any cultural programme, so please
bear with us. In last few years Surat has transformed to a real mega city with
Mega malls for shopping, Multiplex theaters for entertainment & wider roads
for smooth traffic. Surat is famous for its Textile industry & diamond
industry. Shopping lovers will have ample opportunities for shopping at Surat
for Sarees & Diamonds.Surat has got many historic places to visit in &
around Surat city. Nature lovers can explore the possibilities of visiting
Saputara (200 km away from Surat), thick-green forest of Dang (176 km away from
Surat), Tithal-sea beach (85 kms away from Surat), Ubhrat Beach (50 km away from
Surat), Dandi (famous Gandhi Ashram & Beach- 65 km away from Surat).
We
on behalf of whole team of organizing committee of ‘CUTICON-GUJARAT 2006’ whole
